the team

We don’t publish a team. We assemble one around your idea.

There is no standing roster and no public list of names. For each idea we choose a small core team and add specialists as the work needs them. You meet the core team once your Fit Sprint has shown what it can do.

how you meet the team

You see the work first. Then you meet the people.

  1. 01
Before you engage. You speak with us, in confidence. We describe the expertise your idea will need, without naming anyone.
  2. 02
During your Fit Sprint.A core team forms around your idea and does the work. What it produces shows how it thinks and how it works together.
  3. 03
At the readout. We introduce the core team by name and role, and show what each person contributed to your work.
  4. 04
Then you decide.Go deeper with this team, redirect, or stop and pay only the cost to date, with no fee.

Until the readout, one person from the studio leads your engagement and is your point of contact. We know this asks for trust before you can check it. So the first step is small, at cost, and ends in a decision that is yours.

why the people stay private

A name beside your project is a clue. So ours stay out of view.

We know it is unusual not to show the people. Here is why.

  • Your plans stay yours.A name on a visitor list, a calendar invite or a public profile tells a competitor what you are building. With no names in view, there is nothing to trace.
  • Good builders are sought after.People who build well are often approached with other offers. A public list invites that, and losing someone mid-project would cost you continuity. So names wait until the readout, when you have seen the work.
  • The team is built for your idea.We choose it for each idea, so any fixed list of names would be out of date before it was published.

If this is more caution than you expect, it is deliberate. Your trust is what we are protecting.

how you judge them

We cannot show you other clients’ work. We show you what we do with yours.

A biography says what someone did for others. The Fit Sprint shows what this team does for you, in fifteen days, on your own idea.

  • How we see your idea.Your intent, a few reasons behind it and the lessons you have already learned, on one page. You will know at once whether we understood you.
  • How we look for what is true.Your idea set beside one user, one competitor and one mock purchase, with what holds and what is still open marked plainly.
  • How we test, and when we stop. One small experiment, run with real people and read against a stop condition we agreed before we began.
  • How we work together. The readout sets your idea before and after, and shows which person contributed what. Then you meet them.

You judge all of this on a problem you know better than we do.

why we're built this way

A business needs different skills at each stage.

Strategy and research early on. Later, product, engineering, data, manufacturing, distribution, finance or regulatory expertise.

A fixed team carries capability the work may not need, or shapes the work around the skills it has. We chose a different design.

The network stays focused.

Specialists keep their place in the network by doing excellent work.

And our economics follow the business's performance, not the size of a bench or the scope of a project. The network exists to make the business stronger, not the organisation bigger.

how the team works

Whatever the stage, you work with one team.

  • One person to deal withOne person from the studio leads your engagement from the first conversation, so you never have to project-manage the people building your own business.
  • A core chosen for your ideaA small team holds the whole picture and runs the rhythm. It is reshaped as the work changes stage, and your lead and the written record carry the thread.
  • A network that joins when neededSpecialist agencies and experts step in when a capability is needed and step back when it isn't.
how the team changes with the business

where the model came from

Capability should organise itself around the problem, not the other way round.

Before this studio existed, we proposed an open innovation cluster to the Director General of Industries of a northern Indian state. It was a shared system where any agency or freelancer could plug in and do real innovation work for the companies that needed it.

It never became policy. But building it taught us the lesson that became the studio's design.

Some agencies in our network also bring experience designing digital public infrastructure alongside multilateral organisations.

what this gives you
  • The right expertise at each stage
  • One person to deal with
  • Capability that grows and shrinks with the work
  • Less fixed overhead around the business
  • A team that leaves no public trail

Not a payroll waiting for projects. A team assembled around the work.
