how we get paid
You are repaid first. Only then do we earn.
You're putting capital behind your own instinct. Here is how it comes back, and when we earn.
Capital and royalty, over time
- 01 BuildYou fund each 15-day sprint as recoverable capital. We build at cost: our costs covered, not our profit.
- 02 RepayA share of revenue repays everything you invested, in full.
- 03 RoyaltyOnly then does the same share become our royalty, capped at one to two times your capital. The exact figure is fixed in writing once the business model is clear.
- 04 YoursThe royalty ends at the cap. Everything the business earns stays with you.

what you own
The company, and everything we build for it, is yours from day one.
Our royalty is how we are paid for building it, not a claim on what it is. We take no equity.
your control
You know what the next sprint costs before it begins.
- Estimated firstEvery 15-day sprint is estimated and documented before it starts, with a ceiling of 20% above the estimate. Past that, nothing is spent without your written yes, and an overrun that comes from our own estimate is ours to carry.
- Approved by youNothing begins until you say yes. You commit to one sprint at a time, never a lump sum.
- Open booksYou can audit every sprint record at any time. Once the business is trading, you both receive a monthly statement of its receipts.
- Stop conditions, agreed before we buildIf it isn't working, we will tell you early and help you stop cheaply. You can also stop at the end of any sprint and pay only the cost to date, with no fee. Everything built so far is handed over to you.
one direction
No reason to prolong the build. Every reason to make it earn.
- A leaner build helps us tooWe size the build so the business can repay it. The less you invest, the sooner you are repaid, and the sooner our royalty can begin.
- No revenue, no profitOur royalty is paid only from what the business earns, and only after you are repaid.
- Our upside is capped. Yours isn't.When the cap is reached our share ends. Everything after that stays with you.
We don't profit from building what you see. We profit when the world sees it too.
what every agreement sets out
The website explains the model. The contract defines the deal.
The money
- The capital to recoverWhat you actually put in, sprint by sprint, not the estimate.
- What counts as build costWhat the people on your build cost us for the hours they spend, partner and supplier invoices at face value, and tools bought for the build. No fee and no overhead on top.
- The revenue baseThe business’s gross receipts, counted as the cash arrives, less GST collected and refunds paid. Running costs are not deducted.
- The shareOne fixed share of those receipts, sized once the business model is clear: large enough to bring your capital back within a stated number of years on a cautious forecast, and no larger.
- The order of recoveryYour capital first. Then the same share becomes our royalty.
- The royalty cap, and its endOne to two times your capital, fixed in writing once the business model is clear, and never reopened. When it is reached, the royalty ends.
- When the share and the cap are agreedOnce the business model is clear. We expect that to be after about 100 days of work together, so nothing is negotiated at the Fit Sprint.
Your control
